A series of chopstick rest made of pewter.

Carefully produced by skilled craftsmen who hammer pewter plates with a hammer, using a technique called TATAKIDASHI.

Simple patterns are etched into surface of rectangular and octagonal shapes by the use of various hammers. These hammered indentations are not just for design, but the texture makes it also helps to hide scratches.

Pewter has a high antibacterial quality making it particularly suitable for chopstick rest.
