At a time when we have to consider our energy use and environmental impact, WASARA was created to be wood-free.

We mainly use bamboo and bagasse. Bamboo grows extremely fast, is resistant and reproduces easily. Bagasse is the fibrous residue of sugar cane after the juice has been extracted, and around 100 million tonnes are produced every year. However, with fibres very similar to those of hardwoods, bagasse's intrinsic properties are perfect for paper. And because it is softer and more flexible than wood pulp, the energy required for its production is drastically reduced. Made from bamboo and bagasse, WASARA products reduce the burden on the environment and can be manufactured without fear of depleting our natural resources.

WASARA is a collection of sustainable paper tableware. Soft to the touch and pleasantly shaped, the tableware reminds you of ceramics.
